Save up to £100 a year on fuel
Forecourts a few miles apart often charge very different prices. If you usually fill up at the dearest one near you, switching to the cheapest could save up to £100 a year. pump’d shows you where it is.
Last checked 19 October 2026.
How we work it out
For every forecourt in the UK, we take the gap between the dearest and cheapest price within 5 miles, and work out what that gap costs over a year of driving.
- 10,000 miles a year, at 40 mpg for petrol (1,137 litres) or 45 mpg for diesel (1,010 litres). The average car in England does about 7,100 miles, so if you drive less, you’d save less.
- Every forecourt within the 5 miles counts, including motorway services and Costco.
- We only use prices updated in the last week, and leave out prices that look like mistakes, such as petrol and diesel swapped round.
How many drivers could save that much
